· Technical expert in Joint Close Air Support and in all aspects of fire support doctrine, training, simulation, integration and execution
· Works a part of a team on technically focused and complex defense research and analysis tasks
· Develops courseware for the Joint Fires Observer Course taught at Fort Sill, OK
· May plan and perform specialized studies and analyses
· Will teach soldiers call for fire procedures using Army's Call for Fire Simulator/Trainer
Requirements:
. Minimum of 5 years Close Air Support, Fire Support or Forward Observer experience
. Senior NCO E-6 or above
. Must be a former Army or Marine Forward Observer or Air Force Joint Terminal Attack Controller
. Ability to effectively communicate with customer
. Well developed briefing skills required
. Ability to clearly present technical approaches and findings
. Must be capable of instructing current tactics, techniques and procedures involved with Close Air Support
Assets:
. Simulation/simulator experience
. Instructor and training development experience developing and instructing the Joint Firepower Course
. Recent combat experience desired
. Joint Terminal Attack Controller Qualification Course, Ground Liaison Officer Qualification Course, Joint Fire Observer Course
. College degree desirable
· Security Clearance Required
